TERMS OF SERVICE

The following policies, terms and conditions were created to ensure the satisfaction of both the clients and our staff in order to maintain a professional environment that is safe, clean, and professional .

RATES

There is a 1-hour minimum. Sessions are booked at the rates stated by the studio unless there is a prior negotiation between the studio and the artist or a special. Rates are subject to change.

PAYMENT

You are responsible for the remaining balance due to the studio and should come prepared to make that payment at the beginning of your session. No media will be issued to the client until full payment is made to the studio. Clients will be charged a $20.00 service fee if full payment is not made in full by the end of their session.

DEPOSIT

A 20% non-refundable deposit is required in advance of your session in order to guarantee the time slot requested by the artist. If another artist requests the same time slot and make the deposit prior to the previous artist, we will lock down the space for the artist who makes the deposit first. Deposits can be made via Zelle, PayPal, Cashapp, Venmo or on our website during booking.

CANCELLATION FEE

Cancellations after 24 hours prior to the booked session will forfeit the deposit. The deposit is non-refundable; we can reschedule your appointment if cancel 24 hours prior to the artist scheduled time. If you chose to book same day and cancel, the deposit is non-refundable. No exceptions.

STUDIO ETIQUETTE

No smoking in studio. Smoking is permitted outside only.
Food and drink must be consumed in the lounge. Drinks may be brought into the studio but must be kept away from the equipment. You are responsible for disposing of your trash in the receptacles provided.
No firearms allowed on the premises.
We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel a session if a client appears to be under the influence or a threat.
Come prepared! We are not responsible for time lost if you are not prepared.
Due to Covid-19 we are keeping traffic to a minimum. We suggest that the artist only brings a plus one due to space and safety. Contact us if you have any questions.
The session starts at the time you booked, not when you arrive.

SESSION PROCEDURE

The session begins at the scheduled time booked. If you arrive early and the studio can accommodate an early start, then the session clock will begin at that time. 10 – 15 minutes before your session is over, the engineer will begin bouncing and sending the recorded tracks. When your session time is over, you are required to leave the studio so the following artist can prepare for the next scheduled session.

MEDIA

Session media will only be released when full payment for the session is received. Raw sessions can be issued to artists but they won’t contain any editing or mixing made by the engineer. The Zen Lounge Studios keeps the mechanical rights of all projects recorded at our studios. Session materials left beyond 30 days due to nonpayment become the property of The Zen Lounge Studios. We are not responsible for any unrecoverable data.

EQUIPMENT

In the event a piece of studio gear owned by The Zen Lounge Studios or any part of its facility becomes damaged by you, or anyone in your party, due to negligence, accident, or willful act, you agree to provide monetary compensation in the amount of full replacement value of the damaged item.

TECHNICAL ISSUES

If the studio experiences any technical problems during a recording session, the artists will not be billed for the time lost. The studio will reschedule another session with the artist or will extend the artist time to make sure they do not lose their session time. You are responsible for sending the proper files to use for your session. If your files are not in the correct format, time lost will go towards the time booked.

FILES

The artist session files are stored on the studio computer for 30 days. If you would like to save you session files on an external hard drive during your session please consult with the engineer. There is a $20 fee to send you your session files to you via the web after your scheduled time.

STUDIO TOUR

New clients can schedule a studio tour prior to their session in order to become more familiar with our facilities and equipment. Please reach out prior to coming for a tour to ensure availability.

DISCLAIMER

Prior to any session being booked by the client or any work beginning, the client must read and agree to the above Studio Policies. By booking a session with the studio, The Zen Lounge Studios will use the client booking confirmation as an electronic signature that will be used as a formal agreement and obligation to make payments and adhere to all other policy requirements as stated herein.
